Drew Walker

Coach Walker is a 2008 graduate of Ringgold High School, where he was a 4-year starter for the Tigers at 3rd base. During his tenure at RHS, Coach Walker was a 3-time all-state member, a 3-time Chattanooga Best of Preps team member, and a 2008 Team Georgia MVP. He was named team captain of the 2008 season. Coach Walker holds the single-game RBI record at RHS, where as a Sophomore, he collected 3 HR (2 grand slams, 3 run HR) and 11 RBIs.

Coach Walker went on to play his collegiate career at Armstrong State University. He was a 4-year starter for the Pirates at 3rd base. Coach Walker collected 2 Peach Belt Conference Freshman of the Week honors in 2009 and Peach Belt All-Conference honors at 3rd base in 2011 & 2012. The highlight of his time at ASU was being a part of the Pirates 2012 Peach Belt Conference regular season & Peach Belt tournament Championship team. He graduated in 2012 with a degree in Exercise Science.

Coach Walker returned to his alma mater to begin his coaching career in 2014 under Coach Brent Tucker. From 2014-2019, the Tigers won 5 straight region titles, including trips to 3 Sweet 16s, 2 Elite 8 appearances, and a Final 4. Coach Walker became the Head Coach of the Tigers in the shortened season of 2020. In three full seasons under Coach Walker, the Tigers have won 2 region titles (2021,2023), a region runner-up (2022), and made trips to the GHSA Sweet Sixteen (22), Final Four (21), and State Championship series (23). Coach Walker was named GHSA AAA State Coach of the Year following the 23 season.

Coach Walker is married to his beautiful wife, Chelsea. They have two children: Easton (4) and Baylor (1).
